Don&#039;t worry, since this jury saw fit to exclude Ian McDonald&#039;s &lt;i&gt;Brasyl&lt;/i&gt; from considertion, it certainly doesn&#039;t represent the full state of SF today. The best books published in SF last year are not on the Clarke shortlist. This would be alarming for the future of the Clarke award, if not for the case that next year fortunately will see a different jury..</description>
